As a FULL TIME Realtor, I am dedicated to providing top quality service to all of my clients.  Especially in today's real estate market, I feel it is imperative to be honest, professional, dependable, flexible, creative and knowledgeable.  I don't just say it, I live it--every day.  I have a passion for real estate--it isn't a chore for me to go to work every day because I LOVE what I do!   It is a thrill for me to help others achieve their dreams.  For a short time, I owned a design business that has proved to be a great compliment to my career.  I often help Seller's stage their home through the eyes of a Buyer to help their home sell quickly and for top dollar.  I have also been able to assist Buyer's envision the "bones" of a home and how it might function best for their needs.  In addition to my career in real estate, I have over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing that have been extremely valuable when it comes down to negotiating the sale or purchase of your home.  This is your biggest investment, and you should put it in the hands of someone with experience and success that will look out for your best interests.  My focus is on YOU!  What are your needs and wants?  What is most important to you?  I believe that listening is not just a skill, but an art.  Listening is paramount in this business, not just during the negotiations, but every step of the way.  I promise to listen to YOU!

Since today's housing market is technology-driven (close to 90% of all Buyers are searching for homes on-line), I believe it is essential to be on top of the latest trends. You deserve a realtor that is constantly striving to learn more in this ever-changing marketplace.  Average and ordinary are NOT words in my vocabulary to define myself!  Continuing education is essential in this business! So, what do all the letters behind my name actually mean to YOU? 

First, I have earned my GRI (Graduate REALTOR Institute) designation which involved an intensive 90 hour course covering many subjects including:  technology, contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance, and risk reduction.  The National Association of Realtors (NAR) recognizes a GRI as, "A top performer in the real estate industry who is dedicated to  quality service and professionalism".  My knowledge gained through this course has come into play many times in the real world of complex real estate transactions and has truly equipped me with an edge against the competition. 

Along with my GRI, I have also completed my e-PRO Certification.  NAR recognizes my e-PRO certification as, "One out of only 1% of the nation's one million realtors who has acquired the technology tools and skills to be differentiated against the competition with added strength in online marketing and sales skills."  Since nearly 90% of consumers begin their real estate search online, this certification has given me the expertise to meet the demands of today's Buyers and Sellers.  I will make sure that your home is marketed in a top notch fashion on multiple internet sights for maximum exposure. 

In addition, I hold my RRES (Residential Real Estate Specialist) with Coldwell Banker Gundaker.  This is an additional step in training that sets me apart as an expert in the residential marketplace.  I am also honored to have been awarded Coldwell Banker Gundaker's "Outstanding Service Award" in September of 2007 in recognition of my dedication and superior level of service to my clients.  St. Louis Magazine's independent study has also ranked me as a 5-Star agent in customer satisfaction in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 respectively (only  the top 7% of St. Louis Realtors are awarded this distinction).

In 2009, I received my SFR certification (Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource) from the National Association of Realtors.  Considering today's housing market and economic climate, it is more important than ever that a Realtor understand how to navigate through the complex transaction of a distressed property and serve as a valuable and knowledgeable resource for Sellers and Buyers.

What truly matters after all the initials and designations?  A personal connection and relationship with YOU!   Buyers and Sellers need to have the confidence and trust that they are putting their largest investment in the hands of a professional who truly cares about THEM!  My client's peace of mind through the stressful home buying and/or selling process is essential to me.  As a past scout den leader, the motto, "Treat others the way you want to be treated," is my golden rule.  If you're not ultimately happy in the end, I have not done my job.  Let me put my passion and expertise to work for you TODAY!

PERSONAL BACKGROUND:

I have a B.S. degree with honors from The Ohio State University.  Over the years I have lived in Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri.  Missouri has been my home for the past twelve years.  My first Missouri home was in Wildwood and I currently reside in Creve Coeur.  I love marketing all of the surrounding St. Louis area communities as well as the city.  I love St. Louis!  Before my career in real estate, I have experienced being a first-time home Buyer, built a new home, purchased two existing homes, extensively remodeled a home and sold three homes, all in different states!  Being on the other side of the fence with the stress and emotions that go along with buying or selling a home, has given me personal insight into how my client's are feeling.  I have truly walked in their shoes. This has certainly given me better insight and understanding into my client's perspective through the buying or selling process.  In my spare time, I have been a parent volunteer for both the Rockwood and Parkway School Districts as well as three local private schools.  I am an active volunteer for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Gateway Chapter.  I am also a past member of the St. Louis Disability Association-I have a passion for helping children with disabilities succeed in school and in life. I have also donated my own hand-painted furniture to The Ronald McDonald Annual Auction for the past six years.  When I am not painting furniture, I am gardening.  I LOVE to garden and am working on expanding my perennial garden every year.  I also love to cook and entertain (when I have time!) and am often standing over a hot grill coming up with new creations for friends and family.  My devoted husband of over 25 years and my two incredible sons are my greatest fans.  They support my real estate career 110% and are truly proud of my accomplishments and success.  Who could ask for more?!  I am truly blessed!!
