I was born in Delta (20 miles north of Montrose) and have called Colorado home for the past fifteen years. My background is in business finance. After a thirteen year career with Citigroup as both a sales and underwriting manager for their Finance Division, I took advantage of an opportunity to move me and my family back to the Western Slope to settle in Montrose. A quality of life decision and I am very fortunate to call Montrose home.I have been a full time licensed Realtor in Montrose since 2006 and launched Strategic Real Estate Partners in 2008. | I have bought and sold real estate, homes and condos from Hawaii to Florida and multiple states in between. Each transaction has had its own unique problems stemming from the real estate agent or an appraiser or financial officer or the closing agent / title company. With the past problems encountered I fully expected the sale of my house in Montrose, Colorado to be no different then the previous transactions. I was totally and pleasantly shocked and surprised!!!! Our association began as I was directed to Josh by my property manager,. I was inquiring as to current sales of homes similar in location and valuation. Josh was easy going, a pleasure to talk with and a wealth of information. For over a year I received information and updates. I was not pressured about my plans or time parameters. Although receiving information from the "big realty" in town as well, I knew I would not be a number and that Josh would professionally and personally handle the listing and sale of my property. He did so with expediency and professionalism. What I did not expect is that he diligently oversaw the negotiation, conveying information between Ohio & Alaska from his office in Colorado. He coordinated with the buyer, the title / closing company and myself. Everything was and did go so smoothly that I informed him and the title company I fully expected something to go astray or wrong. I was quite mistaken. Absolutely nothing happened other than close out as smoothly as the start of the process. If you are looking for a Realtor that will be professional, knowledgeable but not pushy and will work with you one on one and be responsive to your calls and concerns within moments, often answering his calls immediately then I can without the slightest reservation recommend Josh Kettell My property manager, John Nichols, owner of Area Best Management, Kristine Nicholas of Nicholas Appraisals, Inc. and Diane Gorrono of Fidelity National Title Co. were all professionals from start to finish.
