Get to know Valerie Littrell
I moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1999 from Kansas City. I was one of those people who enjoyed coming to the lake every weekend year after year. As time went on, the weekends got longer and longer. I love everything about the lake. I felt like a different person at the lake than in the City, more at ease, more relaxed! I wanted to move to the lake but jobs were limited in income potential compared to what I was use to and that was hard to get over. I graduated in 1990 from the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!) Yes, I still do have a lot of Mizzou and Iowa friends! I went straight into the corporate world and continued working my way up. On the side, I started buying rental property for myself and ended up getting my broker’s license in1996. In 1999, I decided to do something that would change my life forever. I gave up my life as I knew it, my career, my job and my home to move to the lake all by myself where I knew nobody to open a business, I knew nothing about! Yes it was crazy and it was very scary, but that is how I ended up at The Lake of the Ozarks. I opened two restaurants, a boutique and a mini-mart on the water. After the first year, it became the hottest place on the lake and well known through out the country. In time it evolved to adding a night club, condo rentals, another restaurant on the highway, and opening a real estate company in 2002. In 2005 I had about 150 employees and a 3 year old. Something had to give. I chose to stay in real estate and leave the rest behind. So, that is my story. I am living my dream. What you will find here is that everyone has a story of how they ended up here and you don’t meet too many people that are actually from here.
Why should you choose me as your real estate agent? I have had the opportunity to buy and sell investment property and commercial property for my self for the last 23 years and have been a broker since 1996. I have lived at the Lake of the Ozarks since 1999. I love the lake and everything about it. Selling real estate is my passion. I am very self motivated, dedicated professional. I am use to hard work and I am not afraid of it. My vast experience and diverse background helps me pay attention to detail and accomplish my clients ultimate goals. I pride myself on education. When my career turned to just real estate, I got my GRI which means, “Graduate Realtor Institute”. Not every realtor does this. These are classes you can take after you get your license to further your education in the real estate field. I also received my ABR, which means Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation. I enjoy furthering my education so I am confident in my abilities to be the best agent for my clients.
I am also very involved in our community. Currently, I am in my second term as a local director for the Bagnell Dam Board of Realtors. I have served on the Public Relations Committee, the Membership committee and our MLS Committee. I have also been on the Planning and Zoning Committee for Lake Ozark since 2007. As far as volunteer work, I have volunteered for the YMCA, Kiwanis, Easter Seals and I always participate in the Lake Shore Cleanup.
Now, I have shared my story with you and would truly enjoy to hear yours. Again, I recognize the fact that you have a choice in real estate agents and I am committed to earning your business through professionalism and personalized service. I look forward to hearing from you.

Testimonials for Valerie Littrell
My dream of purchasing a lake house, at the Lake of the Ozarks, was realized recently thanks to the assistance of my realtor Lora Elliott. This was a significant personal commitment with which I had an initial level of discomfort as it is over 300 miles away from my home and my ability to conduct market research and spend time looking at homes was limited. I initially contacted Valerie Littrell due to interest in a listing that I found on the internet. As a successful business person, Valerie, like many of us, was engaged in numerous activities which wouldn’t allow her to focus on my request so she assigned Lora to the task.
I immediately felt at ease as Lora’s communications and depth of information were more than what I needed to get started. It took a couple of visits to the lake but Lora realized my goal of being ready to enjoy the lake by May. I felt like I was her only customer as she allowed me the opportunity to see nearly 30 homes narrow my search down to what is now our lake home. Thanks Valerie and Lora for truly what was a remarkable job. I will recommend you all day long to my friends, families and coworkers.
When I decided to look for a second home at Lake of the Ozarks, I feel I was fortunate to have chosen Valerie Littrell and her Sales Associate Lora Elliott.
I immediately felt comfortable with the way they went about helping me. I could tell they genuinely wanted to find the right home for me, not just sell something. Having never owned a lake home, I relied on their knowledge of the lake to guide me toward the property that suited me and my family.
We looked at over 25 homes in various areas of the Lake and I was able to find the perfect lakefront home for us! From the looking to understanding the contract, to the home inspection and even the financing Valerie & Lora were thoughtful, consistent and professional.
They recommended a local lender early on in the looking process and we were able to close even sooner than originally anticipated. Valerie and Lora never pushed me to make a fast buying decision and made sure I got to see everything in the area that fit my parameters.
You won’t find real estate professionals who truly want to help you more than these two. I highly recommend both Valerie & Lora when you decide you want to find your piece of this beautiful place. The views are spectacular!
Valerie helped me find a house and spent a ton of time looking at houses even prior to me being ready to buy. She is honest and wins you over with knowledge vs pushing for a sale. She has contacts / reliable resources for during and after the sale. Valerie made a lot of phone calls for me allowing me time to focus on moving. There is a lot more complications to buying a house at the lake than in a city. She uses her knowledge and confidence to work for your best interests to stay on top of every situation. Anyone would make a mistake not have Valerie buy or sell your home. Valerie makes things happen! Now that the sale is finished (and I am still on cloud nine over getting the prefect house) I wish I was still riding around with the lakes best agent in all the land!
Valerie has a tremendous "grasp" of the real estate market and possesses that intuitive feeling as to what a house is really worth and how well it will sell. Valerie has that balance of knowledge, drive and enthusiasm that will get the job done for you.
We had the privilege of working with Valerie to sell our home, the same home she helped us to purchase at the Lake of the Ozarks. We highly recommend Valerie she clearly takes pride in doing a good job.
