When buying or selling on the water around St. Petersburg and the gulf, it's important to know and understand the following buyer concerns:

Waterways - how long will it take to travel to the Gulf of well known fishing areas by boat?  Where are the channels? Water Depths - What is the depth at the end of the dock at low tide?  What size boat can I maintain here? Marinas - Where are the closest marinas? Vendors - Network of partners that can repair boats, docks, lifts and seawalls What is the condition and life of the seawall.  What are signs that a seawall is in disrepair? What is the condition and life of the dock?   What will the city allow me to improve or add to my dock or boat lift? What boating/yacht clubs are available to join? What are some things I can do to maintain my dock, lift and seawall after my purchase? How should I prepare for storms? What are the advantages/disadvantages of buying on "open" water versus a canal? What is the difference between Bay Waterfront and Intercoastal waterfront property? Can you give me details on the neighborhoods, communities and schools? What beaches are best for tourism (rental investment property) or for privacy (second home)? Which gulf front and waterfront properties have the best occupancy rates for rentals? Which gulf front and waterfront condo properties are the best maintained? Which beach condo properties accept pets?  Can I cover my mortgage payments with rentals? Where are the high end neighborhoods?

Most Importantly.....

What community best fits the Lifestyle I want to maintain?
