I would ask your broker that question.

You need to read your contract fine print where all fees and deductions are mentioned in addition to your split.

First, you should have a conversation with your broker.  If that conversation does not provide with you a satisfactory answer, it's likely time to move to another brokerage and seek qualified legal advice.

Do NOT cash the check, but bring the error to their attention, in writing.  May be a simple error by the person cutting the check, or you did not carefully read your contract and may have it wrong.  Or, they may not have read the contract properly .  Either way, refer to your contract a proceed accordingly.  Good luck!

Maybe you could start by talking to them instead of posting an anonymous question on a board? It could be an honest mistake from the Broker or the accountant. If they refuse to fix it, give them a written demand. If that doesn't work, hire an attorney.

Check that contract to see what your split is and what fees are supposed to be taken out.  Compare that to the accounting you were (hopefully) given with the check.  If something is wrong, just like in the corporate world, go to the boss and politely ask for clarification.  If it's an error on their part, they should correct it.

Start strategically planing your departure, but don't announce it. Compensation is the MOST IMPORTANT role of the broker. There is no excuse for failing in the one aspect they MUST do.

Separate from any shared resources and place all contacts into your  privately owned database.

Even if your current broker makes is right, you still need to leave.

Review the contract you signed with the broker and bring the violation to the brokers attention.

DO NOT TAKE LEGAL OR AUTHORITATIVE ACTION until you have separated. If you do take action before  separation you are very, very vulnerable.

If it is proven you are RIGHT, be aware, nothing changes behavior like the assurance of exposure. But brokers don't like that. The good ones and the bad ones don't like the laundry being aired. So he/she will threaten to sue you if you breath a word of their transgression to anyone.

Proceed with corrective action with  caution, but leave is what you must do.
