I would always upload my videos to YouTube FIRST - the SEO is tremendous and then putting it here (and sharing it on other sites/social media), boosts your YouTube position as well.

That said, I use the <> source code method to drop my embed code as Fred Griffin does.

You're getting confused on linking & embedding. It's better if you host your vid on YouTube to get SEO benefits. Then embed it here on AR so that it's viewable in a box format like all vids. Without doing that you only come up with the link from your computer.
