Every market is different and the bigger markets are further divided into sub-markets. Generally most markets will remain strong. Mortgage products will continue to evolve with new offerings. As for bigger down-payments and more cash buyers, who knows?

Banks will get more into the arena perhaps we will see more 80-10-10 loans. Values will hold in general and if they dip it will be from recent purchases. However they will just cycle through. We are just getting started on a long-overdue boom. The wise also know a bust will follow at some point.

It is the low priced areas neighborhoods that will receive the highest gains. Most investors who can not afford MF properties are going to Detroit, Cleveland, Tennesse snatching up properties and expect a killing. In our area it is crazy because of seeded money. 10 companies are developing autonomous vehicle technology while Detroit says that is their mission too. It will quickly trigger a slow down may be later in 2018 after a couple of interest rate increases. Yellen is coming back. She is from here.

Considering the prices in the surrounding areas- Westchester County, NY & Southern Fairfield County, CT- Northern Fairfield County, CT continues to be the best place to find value & still be a commutable distance to NYC. 

I have zero worries about value here. In fact,  based on the Corelogic info, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a surge in buyers!

Not sure about Corelogic, but I follow CA and my MLS statistic very closely. Prices are high, sales dropped. The trend will stay probably till February at least.
