I have to say No to both questions. But if you could pay your mortgage payment with a credit card boy could you rack up some good points.

I've heard of services that allow you to do that but, they charge a fee that would out-weigh the benefits of the points or rewards you would get for using your card.

The banks don't allow direct cc payment though.

Interesting. This is the first I've heard of paying your mortgage with a credit card. I don't think it is a good idea unless in extreme situations. I suppose if you were to lose your job and need to hold on to your house until you get your house sold, that could be a good reason. It could help keep your credit in tact as long as you pay that credit card off. You could really rack up some dept that could be hard to get our from under if you're not careful.

I do not know of any that do that. With credit card fees I can't see how that would benefit the lender at all.

Interesting. Not a bad idea if you pay you card in full each time. But, if you don't, that would be silly, the interest on cards is a killer, and you'd pay interest on a card on top of the interest on the mortgage.

No and no... but no doubt the day is coming. But this is somewhat troublesome as it's almost like doubling up on the debt if you don't pay off cc balance immediately.

Not directly, but it is possible. Some credit cards sends you checks ( cash advances) and you also can wire money from your credit card to your checking to pay whatever you need. So, it is possible, but % will be high.

I've never heard of anyone paying their mortgage with a credit card.  It could work to a person's advantage as long as they pay their credit card bill in full every month.  More likely, people would get themselves into deep trouble.
