I have not heard of the program. Like Barbara Todaro - I would never recommend a program like that.

I would have to ask John Meussner. I've never heard of it or had anyone request such a program.

I've not heard of them.... and I'd never recommend that to a potential buyer.... there are others methods of obtaining upfront money....

What is the guarantee that they will receive this equity? Are they on the deed? Or a silent second mortgage? What about approval from the Lender, since they are basically borrowing the down payment?

Haven't heard of it but it doesn't make sense for Unison not to be on title. Something ain't right here.

I have not heard of this and I would not recommend something where another entity has a portion of your equity.

Hmmm. that sounds creative.
I'm in need of seeing if this is somehow attached to the property. If not the borrower, who could not scratch together a down-payment can walk.
BUT, for those who are lacking sufficient funds for the 20% for a conventional mortgage, Unison's 50% of down-payment offer would be attractive and economically beneficial. (NO PMI)
They have been around since BEFORE the crash. Need to see the % of equity they will stake a claim to.
@gary Gary Meek
Here is a little chart I found on the Website FAQ.
As you can see it is a convienent and EXPENSIVE Loan. (35%)

I have heard of some but things like this but don't recall the name... the one I heard of participated equally 50/50 in the appreciation of the property. It sounded shady I didn't look further though.

. . . initially thought you were referring to former Secretary of State Tillerson-seems like a huge lack of unison with the president. ^_~

No, haven't hear of this but just did some quick research - not something I would feel comfortable recommending.
