What is the guarantee that they will receive this equity? Are they on the deed? Or a silent second mortgage? What about approval from the Lender, since they are basically borrowing the down payment?

Hmmm. that sounds creative.

I'm in need of seeing if this is somehow attached to the property. If not the borrower, who could not scratch together a down-payment can walk.

BUT, for those who are lacking sufficient funds for the 20% for a conventional mortgage, Unison's 50% of down-payment offer would be attractive and economically beneficial. (NO PMI)

They have been around since BEFORE the crash. Need to see the % of equity they will stake a claim to.
