I do not use and do not have an Instagram account.

However, it has appeared on the radar.

It should be noted Pinterest is where I turn for ideas. I don't know for what Instagram provides that I or anyone else needs.

Julio - I haven't used it personally or professionally.  I am sure there are many "experiences" successful and not-so-success-worthy that can be shared.

Yes - it's simply keeping in touch with my sphere, friends and family there. It's easy to use - nothing really to relate when it comes to experience there.

no I don't.  My primary demographic isn't the age set that is on instagram.  In 10 years maybe I'll use it, but right now no.  Oh and yes I tried, but no return.

Julio,

I am not fond of scatter shot marketing...as they say cast your bread upon the waters, most likely you will get soggy bread back!  We are focused on targeting the right market...A

Any exposure used to be the name of the game but keep in mind some exposure is more effective than others. Do we 'shotgun" our marketing sort of like casting a wide net and hope.... or cast in known waters to target a known return on investment. I have found social sites to be ineffective as a rule. Hands-on for your area works best as a people to people approach

Strictly business.  Got squat before I started botting it, now I get around 10-15 interactions per post.  I also grew my followers with the bot.  Primarily, I use the bot to post the pics dailly.  I'll load them up once every 3-4 weeks and let it run auto posting once a day.  I manually check once a week or so for DMs, comments, like my posts and such.

Zero sales.  Limited exposure.  Zero "I wanna see that house" comments.  Would not see any drop in my business if IG went away tomorrow.

For Instagram - to determine whether you should be spending time and energy on marketing is to know your ideal target audience, ideal client, who do you work with?

If you work with people over the age of 45 mostly, then IG is not going to benefit you for real estate.

If you work with the young people ages 20 to about 30 something, you definately need to be on IG.

And do not post to IG from FB automatically. The sizes of the graphics need to be different, although FB is working on changing this. But for IG, stories is where it is at, and you cannot replicate from FB to IG for stories.

Also NEVER choose the FB ad option of IG placement for a FB ad. It will not work. This is because IG users can tell right away it is an ad. They love to buy right in IG, but it has to look native to IG.
