Fort Myers is right in my backyard and I didn't know what a treasure it was until I went to my first Art Walk.  "Art Walk" is held the first Friday evening of every month.  The city was humming with artsy, intellectual types from near and far; young, older and families.  Street musicians, art displays in the streets, bubbling fountains and courtyards, shops and galleries with doors open and a crush of people waiting to view each and every piece of art hung on the walls and casting their ballots for their Favorite Piece of Art.     Is it a stretch to say I have not been as intrigued with a downtown at night since I visited Prague? Myers, in 1850. Unfortunately, so many people are unaware that Fort Myers was one of the firsts forts built (in 1841) along th...

Last week my family and I had the chance to go to the Thomas Edison Home in Fort Myers Florida to check out the "Holiday at the Estates". It was a nice time with the family walking around and looking at the history of country and community all lit up with Christmas lights. The Edison Home is open until January 3rd at 9pm so you still have a chance to visit. The address is 2350 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, Fl. 33901 Here are a few of the pictures from our big night out:) Enjoy!
