Beach driving passes are available now at pre-season prices of $30 for St. Johns County residents and $40 for non-residents. Without the pass, the daily access price is $6 for residents and $7 for non-residents. Beach Blast Off brings in 2012 in St. Augustine Beach, FL. The 6th Annual Beach Blast Off celebrations will be held on December 31, 2011 at St. Augustine Beach, FL . The event takes place at the St. Johns County Fishing Pier and Pavilion. Beach Blast Off 2011 will offer six hours of activities starting at 4 p.m. with a competitive Chili Cook-off among more than a dozen local restaurants. My boyfriend, Dan, just moved to a new condo in SeaGrove at St. Augustine Beach.  The walls are all WHITE, the trim is all WHITE, the blinds are all WHITE.  I need sunglasses when I go over it is so WHITE!  He has asked me for some help adding color ... it is a bit of a task, what goes with this, is that too much with all this?  I found some helpful information about the basics of the color wheel and how different schemes work. Down the "Shore" (as my fellow NJ peeps would say) with friends this weekend meant visiting the local restaurants. The Oasis is (per their own signs) World Famous and has 44 TV's, inside and outside dining, full bar (key), and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A few hours at the beach in the afternoon, you can drive on the beach here; strongly recommended you have 4 wheel drive; we saw more than one car/SUV get stuck, and have to get unstuck. The afternoon found us at Jack's BBQ for reggae and beverages with a local friend - quite the day of people watching, to say the least. I'm enjoying a weekend with friends in St. Augustine Beach this weekend. We drove down yesterday, had lunch at Cap's On The Water, and are now enjoying our first full day in our house. The house we rented on VRBO.com is on a canal, and a 5 minute walk to the beach, so we're sure to have some fun in the sun. Just a short walk down from the Hampton Inn in St. Augustine Beach on Anastasia Island is the St. Johns County Pier,  which houses the Visitors Information Center and hosts a Farmer's Market every Wednesday 7:00-12:30 pm. There is a charge to enter the pier where guests can walk and fish. Surfers could be seen on the otherside surving in the shallow waves.
