That makes sense.  I've never had to use them.  Here's my reasoning for why:  These are part of the HTML coding language that the blog is written in.  New lines are <BR> new paragraphs are  <P> font changes are <FONT> and so on and so forth.  What happens is that likely the blog writing engine interprets these as HTML commands and removes them from display.  You may need to put them inside single quote marks for them to be seen, or go into the source code and use <CODE> </CODE> around them.  That will tell the browser to display the info as a written text instead of interpreting it as HTML display/formatting code.

 

I'm likely right on this, but Bob Stewart may have a more definitive answer.
