Summer Fun...Sportfishing for the Entire Family from San Pedro CA Sportfishing for the Entire Family       Sport fishing is a fun and exciting event for everyone probably over the age of 7 years. The day I was there, many kids had gone with their parents and the youngest was a 7year old girl who had fun helping her dad fish.           They have two large boats; the Monte Carlo and Pursuit. This is a real professional crew and the fisherman and fisherwomen come off with many fish and smiling faces.                       If you are looking for a half day, ¾ day, or twilight fishing; sign up for a fishing trip. And if you are interested in whales, dolphins or wading birds, you will probably see a lot on your excursion.                 22nd Street Landing 141 W. 22nd Street San Pedro, CA 90...

I just witnessed first hand a car chase in the City of Riverside where there were at least 10 cruisers and several motors in vehicle pursuit vigorously but safely while the getaway vehicle was taking risks swerving and speeding as well as running lights to get away. Then, the suspect realized there was no hope, abandoned the vehicle and took off running. Riverside Police just one block later had the suspect in custody RIVERSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT One of the finest departments around who provides excellent police work, services and protection will not tolerate any shenanigans by criminals within this City and they stand ready, willing and quite able to do something bout it. I am amazed that the criminal mentality doesn't consider that. For every risk or act of law-breaking that a criminal...

Multitasking- Good, Bad or is it Just a Sex Thing?   I confess even though I work for Keller Williams I have not read the book yet. But I did read the 3 downloaded chapters and enjoyed them thoroughly.   Gary Keller talks about the movie “City Slickers” and I loved it. It was a feel good movie that has a nice ending and lots of funny parts throughout including bringing home a baby calf on an airplane and pulling it behind their station wagon on the CA freeway. Jack Palance starred as the rough and tough cowboy named Curly who always said you have to find ‘the one thing’ and sticking up his index finger. “The One Thing”.   From what I have read so far, multitasking is not good and if you do it, you will find yourself short circuiting by:   1) Taking longer to finish your tasks.    2) N...

The Sun Shines Forever in My Yard         I bought this sand sculpture at the local home improvement store 5 years ago. It was really heavy and we hung in on the fence post. It has been hanging there ever since during rain, wind, cold and heat and it is still intact and as pretty as the day we bought it.       I love to look out on my patio and see my smiling sun looking back at me. Plus it is hanging in front of my favorite plant, a huge Mexican Bird of Paradise.       This sun sculpture has given me such joy and the birds like to congregate on the fence above it.   Kristin Hamilton DRE #014092138 Keller Williams Realty – I am a full time agent and deal in all types of real estate transactions. Stranded Awaiting my Roadside Service….Thanks Walter’s Automotive   A few weeks ago, my car started acting up and as I went to show property, I found the battery was dead. I had the battery jumped and it was OK for a few days so I thought I must had left the inside lights on.  Then on Friday night, I again went to meet a client for a walk-through and my car wouldn’t start. Luckily I had another car but knew I had to take care of this problem or I would end up being stranded soon. And it was raining so I was glad I happened to be home at the time.   I called my roadside service number and within 15 minutes I got a car from a Walter’s Technician who said he had 2 prior calls of stranded drivers but would be to my house within 2 hours.    Within 2 hours, approximately 8:30 pm, he was there...

Orangecrest Riverside Real Estate Report April 2013 What is the big story in Orangecrest Riverside? Just as it is throughout the Inland Empire Inventory levels are low and wily sellers are responding to the buyer demand with higher listing prices. We are witnessing the philosophy of supply versus demand in action. The shift in the Riverside real estate market has led sellers to an ideal scenario - low interest rates combined with buyer enthusiasm has resulted in multiple offers and bidding wars. Orangecrest Riverside Background: Orangecrest is a community of newer homes built in southeast Riverside. It is home to award winning schools, nationally recognized parks and a new community center. QHB (Qualified Home Buyer) seeking Single Family Residence! Yikes....it's crazy out there and all I want to do is buy a single family home in Riverside, California. I've submitted multiple offers (14 and hoping the next will be lucky 15.) I jump out of bed at the sound of my phone pinging with new email alerts. (Trying to be the first buyer to view and get my offer in first.) I've stopped negotiating, my agent started writing full price offers on # 7.( We are even coming in 5 -10% above list). I'm not even asking for concessions.(No home warranties, no closing costs, nothing, nada). So why is it I just can't win the home of my dreams? They tell me it's now a seller's market and buyers everywhere are trying to take advantage of the 2004 pricing we are seeing right now in Riverside, Calif...

Remember Cesar Chavez on March 31....a Labor Leader in America Born: March 31, 1927 Died: April 23, 1993   Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American labor activist and leader of the United Farm Workers. During the 20th century he was a leading voice for migrant farm workers (people who move from place to place in order to find work). His tireless leadership focused national attention on these laborers' terrible working conditions, which eventually led to improvements.   Cesar Chavez was born in North Gila Valley, near Yuma, Arizona. He was one of six children. His parents owned a ranch and a small grocery store, but during the Great Depression in the 1930s they lost everything and at the age of 6, he had to start picking fruits and vegetables. Cesar Chavez and his family became migrant farm...
