More and more pools no longer have to stand on their own . It is becoming more popular in Southern California to enhance the enjoyment and ambience of the pool setting with creative thought out décor which reflects or  reveals the pools owner and taste. One intriguing means of accomplishing this is the use of colorful poolscape design.Over  the last 60 some odd years many studies have been conducted with regards to color and ones personality.  I myself have conducted my own personal study and found that often the effect of the color goes hand in glove with the object. For instance;    Piles of GREEN paper ( as in money)  -  excited, hopeful, independent, balancedOn the other hand,Piles of GREEN  peas        ( needing hulled) - listless, lack of spontaneity, distracted, RED liquid  ( as...

Hello, I was born and raised in Orange County but moved to Riverside 22 years ago. Riverside is a wonderful place to live.. You have the luxury of going to the mountains, lake, desert or beach and each is only around an hour away! Where else can you live and have all these great choices? Not to mention their are some wonderful horse trails around when you just want to stay close to home. I have always had a great love for animals and have surrounded myself with many over the years. I have bred and raised Harlequin Great Danes, Boxers and Paint Horses. Many injured or lost animals come to my home... I think there is an invisible sign directing them to me.   Real Estate is the best thing I ever did for myself. I love meeting new people and helping them achieve their goal of selling or buy...

Last night, I just could not fall asleep so I ended up watching some T.V. to help nod off. Anyway, I flipped to the station Bravo to see this show The Real Housewives of Orange County.  There was this one woman who works in Coto de Caza real estate and she was talking about her real estate practices.  She believes because she is good-looking and has a different approach to selling houses that this will make her "Top Dog".These are some of her tricks to the trade.    Call your client cheap. Never thought of it, but it could work. Maybe by insulting and bullying them they will have to give you more money.Get drunk in front of clients.  It makes sense. It loosens everyone up and everyone will have a great time discussing and buying real estate.Swear like a sailor.  Maybe I've got this imag...

The historic Mission Inn located in downtown Riverside, CA is such a spectacular place any time of the year, yet at Christmas it's absolutely magical. I've experience it several times, including last week with fellow Rainers Marlene Bridges and Gregg and Heidi Franklin.  The Mission Inn  holiday decorations are beyond imagination, it's just difficult to explain. Known as the "Festival of Lights" it's something you need to see for yourself if you're in So-Cal.  The decorating begins in Oct. and the official lighting of three-million lights takes place before waiting crowds the Friday after Thanksgiving each year. About two weeks ago, while watching GMA ~ Good Morning America I was excited to see the beautiful Inn was featured live on the show that morning. Complete with the local Riversi...

I've been extremely impressed with the very recent renovation of the Canyon Crest Towne Center. Over the years it's seen many business come and go with varying degrees of success. For those of us who have been around the area for some time, we all remember the old movie theaters, the candy store, Strawhat Pizza, and the Wiz Video. Not all change is good, but in the recent renovation of the Canyon Crest Towne Center, I give the developers as A+. It seemed to take a few years but the renovation looks complete. The new town center features new restaurants, new hard scapes and new landscaping. Most of the stores within the center have also renovated and the entire feel of the center has improved. The new clock tower which houses the moved Crest Cafe and the new Tortilla Grill Restaurant giv...

If you haven't been to the Canyon Crest area in the last year or so, you're in for a very pleasant surprise. The City of Riverside has spent some major time and money renovating and beautifying street landscapes in the area, adding Andulka Park, adding a city sign, and many of the local businesses have followed suite within the Canyon Crest Towne Center. The recent opening of the Martin Luther King freeway off ramp off the 60 freeway will surely alleviate some major traffic concerns. Improvement continue on Central but landscaping on Canyon Crest Drive and Central are now complete. The area just recently got a beautiful new fire station on Central and Adulka Park should be finished within the next year hopefully. Below is the new Riverside side on a beautiful winter day on Central Avenu...

This is one of the biggest weekends all year in the city of Riverside.   Each year the downtown Mission Inn is decorated with millions of lights and the festival begins Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.  They are estimating there will be tens of thousands of people there this year for the largest atendance ever.  In fact I've been told Good Morning America will film the event this year.  Various other TV stations from around the area will also be there.  This is a huge event.  In addition to the lights on the Mission Inn and mall, there will be an ice skating rink, horse drawn carriage rides, music, food and much more.  If Friday is too much of a crowd the event will continue throughout the holiday season.  Families can see the lights, skate or walk the mall every day or evening.  You...

In October 2006 the City of Riverside approved a generous Capital Improvement Program aimed at improving the utility infrastructure of the City and providing a whole host of new parks, sport complexes, trails, sidewalks, parkways, additional libraries, and other civic improvements.  It's an exciting time to be living in Riverside and the Renaissance Initiative will secure Riverside as a wonderful environment for families and young professionals in the near future.  The City of Riverside isn't the only one focused on renewing and revitalizing the city.  I've recently partnered with Alan Mruvka and the m sole' downtown revitalization project.  m sole' is one of the first live/work projects within the city of Riverside offering street level opportunities for home and professional workspace...
