The Retail Industry is in transition, it reminds me of the transition from ‘film photography’ to ‘Digital photography” with a twist. Some of you might remember what that was like. I still recall taking two rolls of film of my listings and dropping them off to get them developed. I also remember paying extra to be able to pick them up faster and then choosing about four or five pictures from the 72  that I took and using it for marketing.You might be saying, Endre this is old news, the Internet Shopping has replaced the Retail Industry a while back, so what is the big deal? Weltanschauung: It’s a New Year 2017 what is my view of the Active Rain Community and the interaction? It seems, every year I get asked by my friend Lynn B. Friedman  to participate in this Jumpstart Challenge. I am lucky that I forget fast as to how challenging her request is and it hits me when she sends out the Contest Rules and reminders to participate and I have already committed myself to participate. Did you know that White - Rodgers recalled Home Heating & Cooling Thermostats due to Fire Hazard? To many of you this might be old news. Never the less I thought I would like to share that more than  one million thermostats sold int eh Unted States and Canada since 2006 are being or should I say have been recalled, because the batteries can leak and cause a fire.The Product is : The Thermostat which is made by White-Rodgers, sut some have differet brand names printed on the front, such as : ComfortSentry, DICO, Emerson, Frigidaire, Maytag, Nutone, Partners Choice, Theem, Ruud, Unico, Water Furnace, Westinghouse and Zonefirst just to name a few... Happy International Cat Day: August 8th, 2015 is International Cat Day!In case you did not know it The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) was established in 2002 in New Brunswick Canada. They in turn designated August 8, as International Cat Day. Some people know it as World Cat Day! Just amazing what twelve to thirteen years can do for a Good Cause!Needless to say it is a fantastic moment for me to clarify a few misconceptions about cats, women and men. One of the biggest misconception is that Women are the majority of cat lovers. How to fight against the Internet Bad Guys who send you potential destructive emails....Recently I have noticed that the “bad guys” on the internet are getting better and better, I see emails allegedly from, Agents who I know or recognize their names…I also get inquiries from potential buyers who want me to click on the embedded link to identify their needs. Others tell me that their Pre-Approval letter or their Proof of Funds are in the embedded link. Most of these are sophisticated or not so sophisticated attempts at breaking into my emails…Then there are others who want me to click inside the email to show me what homes they are looking for and what price range…anyway you get the idea.Not wanting to lose a potential lead, I respond back by letting them know since we do not know each ... 07/24/2015
