Many times, we are looking for something easy to make for dinner. I asked Diane as she was driving home from her office in Century City: How hungry are you? The answer was medium, so I figured might as well make Twice Baked Potatoes, with vegies and a sausage. It was a winner:) Everything was baked so an easy cleanup dinner, keep that in mind:)))   Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. Some of you might ask why does he want to know if we play chess? Just to be clear, it has been decades since I played... I find this is a Motivational Monday post to share with those who read my writings. Did you know that chess is played around the globe by millions of players? The best part is, that it does not matter what your political or religious views are, the game has the same rules. Many boundaries are crossed with this game it doesn't matter if you are rich or poor if you are same sex or not. It does not matter if you are handicapped or not, everyone can play the game.Did you know that Ray Charles admitted once that Chess was his passion?  Just to be clear, you do not need to be physically strong all you need to do is to be able to think. This question came to my mind, since w...

Are you familiar with the Wounded Warrior Project?  As a very brief synopsis, Charity Navigator rates this organization at a 97% for transparency and 89% for financial handling.  No less than 70% of the financial donations go directly to the Wounded Warriors in one form or another.  I chose to donate to this organization last year when a veteran relative of Diane's passed away suddenly last year.  We gave a generous donation under my name, and they have been sending me gentle gifts ever since. Earlier last week, the Wounded Warrior Project sent me a very touching letter that accompanied a Challenge Coin.  Many Americans who have not served in the military have never seen a Challenge Coin, let alone hold one in their hand.  It came to be as certain military commanders sometimes issued Ch...

This recipe was inspired by Debe Maxwell, CRS  thank you for the inspiration. My friend you know me well I would have to do some modifications. So, with that said. I took your recipe and added more spinach and could not resist but add some wild mushrooms to it as well.Anyway, check out the photos and let me know what you think I put a link to your recipe too.  Yes all the other ingredients were the same. The difference was I cut the chicken breast in half and put one on the bottom and then the stuffing on top and then added the other chicken breast cut in half on top and the leftover stuffing I put on the top of the chicken and backed it for 35 minutes or so at 400 degrees. Anyway, check out Debe Maxwell, CRS  recipe and compare the modifications... bon appetite.    https://activerain.c...

Have you heard of the book "Holigent Solution" by A. Nicholas Frank? I have not either. It is an amazing book. Many years ago, I received an Active Rain referral to sell a duplex here in Los Angeles. I was thrilled to have the opportunity, FYI the sellers were three siblings living in three different states. I just finished showing the vacant duplex and an older couple pulled up as I was locking up the property. The driver asked if they could go look at it. Needless to say, I said sure. It turned out they ended up buying the duplex as an investment property.Three days before we closed, he and his wife did a final walkthrough, and everything was fine. He in turn turned around and gave me a book. I had no idea he wrote it and it was personalized to me. How amazing is that.Just for backgro...

Just for fun: This post was inspirited by Debe Maxwell, CRS she wrote a post about receiving stemless glasses to drink wine by the lake. Needless to say, Diane I do not have stemless glasses.Diane did not want to be left behind and with that said she wanted to have her wine in a stemless glass. So, with that said I had to improvise.Debe, just so that you know she loved drinking her Pinot Gris from the glass. Try it, it is easy:The ingredients: fresh dill, capers, smoked salmon, and I did not have anything but veggie cream cheese instead of creme fraiche and of course crackers. It was a winner it kept the hunger in check.Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. Lobster Bisque Sunday night and leftover Lobster Bisque Monday night... well Sunday afternoon and evening I worked my you know what off, to make the requested Lobster Bisque. The challenge requires a bit of manual labor and time. The Shells have to be baked for about 35 minutes or more at 400 degrees. Then you have to make the vegetables, sauté them for about 12-15 minutes. Then you have to add the wine, water and stock and add the shells.... now you need to be patient 1.5 hrs. at the minimum to give the liquid a lobster flavor. Let's not forget all the seasoning and a can of San Marzano tomatoes.... about 28 ounces or so.Once you are there you add the little bit about 1/3 cup of rice and the leftover lobster meat no one wants to work at... and thirty minutes later you have the perfect Lob...

Not your average Saturday Night Dinner for this Beverly Hills Realtor... can you make a guess? Well, if you guessed Boiled Lobster, you were right. Diane did not want anything too fancy; she had a craving for ordinary boiled lobster. Those of you who know me even a boiled meal has to be done to perfection. Hence I reached out to my trusted New England Cookbook by Jasper White. There is a right way to boil lobster too.Just to be clear Diane and I each had a Two Pound Lobster from James Hook & Co from Boston, MA.Just to be clear the shells were saved for Sunday's meal if you guessed Lobster Bisque you were right:)) Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. New England Clam Chowda from James Hook Boston, MA. Some of you were trying to guess what was after the Clam aka Steamer Appetizer on Friday. Well sorry for the late reveal. The second course was the New England Clam Chowda aka Chowder. It was quite delicious, and I decided to bake some shrimp and have some of the leftover rice and veggies from the Jean-Georges Vongerichten meal from the day before. So sorry there were no pictures of the Chowder & the Shrimp, Diane and I were famished and ate them without sharing photos. I know I will have to order and make again for you guys to see it:)) Now I am sorry for those who guessed Lobster as the main course. I saved that for Saturday's dinner. So with that said another food post to be done.  Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forwa...

Friday Night Appetizer: are you ready for the main course? Well, I thought it was time to make another nice meal.... I should post about yesterday's dinner but instead let me tease you about tonight's dinner.I find that an Appetizer is crucial to set the stage for a good meal and a good mood. So, with that said we had what Bostonians call Steamers and the rest of the country calls them clams as an Appetizer. Yes, I took the trouble and ordered it from James Hook of Boston, MA not bought locally... clearly it was worth the shipment and yes, I ordered a few other items. too:)) Stay tuned for the other items of the dinner:)) Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. A potential client recently posed this question to me: Do you put up For Sale signs? I told him "Yes" and the reasons being that it potentially attracts people who happen to be driving by not even thinking that there was something for sale, and at the same time, it gets my name out there - buyers and sellers see my signs (hence, name) everywhere, so it generates more business for me as well.  A dual benefit.  Now with that said, there are certain places where I will not put up For Sale signs because I have come to know the neighborhoods and streets where people come out only to bad mouth the property. As most of you know, my niche market is selling vacant land. There are quite a few instances where neighbors will confront me and potential buyers saying, “you cannot build here” and somet...
