Before drones walking on the roof was the only way to get a good roof inspection done. This video of a clay tile roof inspection I recently performed using a drone. The home is a approximately 4700 sq ft 5 bedroom, 5 baths home.

Tuna Noodle Casserole with Spinach & Artichokes... well it was Friday, and I wanted to do a twist on an old recipe our parents used to make. The ingredients were, fresh baby spinach, frozen Artichoke Hearts, garlic, and of course egg noodles.Oh, and let me not forget three cans of tuna, some butter, some olive oil and some milk and a bit of flour. If you are interested, I can do a full-blown recipe.  The key once everything was done to bake it in the oven for about 25 minutes at about 425 degrees and that will bring the meal up to the next level. Especially if you add some panko bread crumps on top with some shredded parmesan cheese.  Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, focused and goal-oriented Realtor in the Be...

Target America: Terrorism in the US.  A book review... I am a bit late reviewing this book. It was published in 1993 and ironically it was sadly after 9/11. The introduction is by Bill McCollum, please Google his history, clearly an interesting career. Let me quote one sentence:This is why I believe it is vital that all Americans read Mr.  Bodansky's book... and become familiar with the nature of the terrorist threat and who is behind it..... it is only by publicly exposing this threat to America and through educating our citizens that we can stop the terrorists from carrying out the nefarious plans and protect our freedoms....Interestingly enough I only paid One Dollar for this book, a true bargain, but it took a great deal of effort to read it, because I kept putting it down and watch...

Speechless Sundays: life in the home of a Pet Friendly Beverly Hills Realtor, Endre Barath. Jr. I could take photos any day or any moment and you could see how life is in our home. Well, look at the Feature Photo, this is Wiley who used to be an outdoor cat. We bought the house and used to joke we bought it so Wiley could come in. We were worried that he would want to go out. He has no desire ever to go out:))Holly is eating and Wiley is checking it out. Wiley is wondering is her food better than ours? Why is the gate locked? Clearly so Holly could eat in peace:)))Check this photo out, usually it is not Wiley and Jill butt to butt, instead it is usually Wiley and Holly. This is a special treat:))  Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. If you are lookin...

Tonight's Dinner was inspired by one of my cookbooks. The one I referenced the other day The Flavors of Asia, by Mai Pham.  Endorsed by the Culinary Institute of America aka the CIA.Needless to say, I looked at about ten recipes and decided to do my own version. First and foremost, I made Sushi Rice. Plan on 30 minutes to make it. While I was making the rice, I decide to do some creative ideas, well smoked mussels from the can, then I realized how powerful the smell and the flavors were, I immediately opened another can of Patagonian mussels, much milder. Realizing that this would not be enough I added some frozen vegies to cut the strength. I also felt I needed to add some Argentinian red shrimp. Then I added some mushrooms to it (fresh) as well as some sun-dried tomatoes and then added...

Wordless Wednesdays: Holly is getting a groom... over the years we have taken Holly to the groomer... things changed. Then we took her to another groomer... then sadly there were some dog diseases circling around so we opted to have the groomer come to our home.Well, we tried the bathroom, not very successful for a shy little dog. Then we tried the bathroom sink equally a failure. Now we finally got the problem resolved, she is fine in the kitchen sink. She also needs ear protection hence the shower cap.All good, just a small trade off, we need to clean the sink before and after each grooming session. Oh well not complaining just sharing life of a Pet Friendly Realtor's dog:))). Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. If you are looking for a knowledgeabl...

Los Angeles land buyers need to know about the entitlement process... depending on where they decide to buy a land and build their home, the rules can vary a great deal. Most importantly they need to know that if they buy a land within 1.5 miles of the Pacific Coast the approval process falls into Coastal Commission Jurisdiction. Hence that means it could take two to three years for the approval process. I have known buyers that would like to shorten this process hence they opt to buy land outside of the Coastal Commission Jurisdiction. My point is that the entitlement process can be long and quite complicated, but without that no one cannot build a home in the Greater Los Angeles area. Now should they choose to buy a steep up or down sloped lot then that will fall into Los Angeles Hillsid...

As those who read my posts regularly remember that Jill was very actively watching the debate between the Former President and the Current President.Well, Jill also enjoyed watching the Republican convention what I posted about as well.It looks like she lost interest in politics, her take is "politics as usual" today she chose not to watch the TV screen and halfway through the debate she left the area.By the Time the talking heads started she was already in my chair taking a nap. I wonder how many people felt the same way? Inquiring minds want to know. Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. Speechless Sunday: A nice call from the new owner... I was heading out to showings in Malibu, CA. I had an out of State client wanting to see some vacant lots in Malibu, CA.On my way to meet them, I received a call, and the person wanted to tell me that my sign is still at the property. I asked which property, and he told me that it is 1553 Cliff Dr. He is the new owner, and the land sale took place in April of this year. I thanked him for his call and patience and assured him that this week Monday or Tuesday the sign will be removed.I was appreciative that he was gracious and did not flip out instead moved the sign closer to the street for the sign guys to pick them up.Little did I know that my Marketing Continued for another three to four months. He texted me the photos to make it eas...

End of Summer heat wave in Los Angeles, CA, showing properties can be challenging especially if you are a land specialist. Friday I was heading to one of my listings in Pacific Palisades for a showing.Went through Brentwood, CA and look at what the temperature gage was showing. Had to smile that is what our current Vice President calls home. Well, I continued to my listing, two streets below in the Pacific Palisades, CA that Tom Hanks has his home. Now look at the temperature my phone was showing. In all fairness I have been in the greater Los Angeles area for 26+ years and this heat wave was unexpected and not accustomed to it. I feel terrible for the 7,800+ people who have been without electricity and the other thousands who do not have Air Conditioning.I am so grateful that we had ele...

Wordless Wednesdays living next to Los Angeles International Airport better known as LAX!I was taking out the trash and saw this plane clearly first time flying to LAX and was clearly off by about 400 yards or more. I wonder what the  Air Traffic Control was telling him? :)I suspect they were yelling at him and telling him to make an adjustment...Well one of the benefits of living close to LAX you get to see day or night when new pilots coming to Los Angeles for the first time. Locals like me know that they are off course, ironically, they do not.Reminded me of new agent in this great profession of ours, we see them coming a mile away. The send you a text or an email or a voice mail but it might take a day or two for them to reply to our response.   Wishing you a safe and healthy life a...

Hope you had a Happy Labor Day Weekend!I am always amazed how many people are inconsiderate and text you, call you and email you early in the morning and throughout the day without apologizing and saying "hope I am not bothering you during the long weekend..." Needless to say, I respond to texts and emails and calls, not as fast as on a regular day or regular weekend, but it tells me what type of potential client I am dealing with....Just remember, those who work hard in life and never hesitate from challenges are the ones who shine the brightest! (author unknown) I was also amazed how business like Tire Shops were open during the weekend as well as Wine Stores and Grocery Stores. Needless to say, I managed to provide them with business.Yes, yesterday morning I was ready to go do some e...

Well in all fairness I had this tool for over three or four years and have been meaning to make a meal with it. As we all know time, focus and distractions kept it in my cupboard for so long.Well today was the day I decided to play with it and how fun it was. Converting three zucchinis into something that looks like pasta:)))The meal was great, tasted light, now I will need to play with it more and improve on it.Not bad for a first attempt.Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. This recipe was inspired by one of my cookbooks "The Rheumatoid Arthritis Cookbook" by Caitlin Samson a clinical Nutritionist.  Do not be put off with the Title, there are some great recipes and clearly many were interested when I posted the results. Now let me get to the ingredients, keep in mind to me a recipe is just a guide or inspiration. Hence, I have made many changes, now with that said:1. Pre-cook your favorite rice or whatever you happen to have at home. The recipe called for Wild Rice, unfortunately I did not have any at home. Hence, I used once cup of brown basmati and one cup of white basmati rice. Keep in mind you can cook the rice ahead and use the leftovers for this recipe.2. Take the cooked rice mix it with Kale or if you do not have Kale at home, you can use Swiss Chard...

Well, I tend to relax by making a meal and hopefully it is a fun and tasty meal. Now with that said, I decided to try purple sweet potato instead of the yellow one. Now with that said we are a fan of the purple one. Inquiring minds want to know what your take is, and which one do you like better? If you are interested in the recipe, I am open to do a post or just share it privately if you are in a rush to make it before I get to do a recipe post.I look forward to your input and feedback. Speechless Sundays: Our flowers popped up again out of nowhere...every summer about this time of year we get these beautiful flowers.Sadly, they do not last a long time, but we love the surprise popping out of nowhere, well look all we have is rocks here all year. Not even any grass pops up.Now with that said every year I ask the community what these beautiful flowers are, and I must be senile because I never remember it. Maybe I am too busy enjoying them. Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. Throwback Thursdays: Hard to believe this event was 24 years ago... I was relatively a new agent here in the Greater Los Angeles area and was focused on learning from everyone.  Look at the cover photo and who else was present at this event. Hard to believe I was lucky enough to meet all these people and listen to them from close up. Their words were heart felt and during the break some were even open to talking to the audience in the hallway. Not all of them some well I will just leave it at that....Tony Robbins was the Motivation Guru in those days, hence I needed to see what I could learn from him.The main speaker at the time was Donald J. Trump, before becoming a politician. His message was " Mastering the Art of the Deal" how to negotiate....Interesting to recall my observations an...
